With healthcare demand and financial pressure continuously growing, productivity remains a national priority for the NHS. Trusts are required to deliver more care with the same resources, and meeting the annual 2 percent productivity goal is essential for long‑term sustainability. But despite increases in staffing and funding, overall output has not yet returned to pre‑COVID levels.
Analysing productivity by cost alone does not show the full story. To get actionable insights it is important to complement the unit cost analysis with direct unit WTE insights.
LOGEX Costing has always enabled users to analyse both WTEs and costs at activity level. Historically, standard analytics views have placed greater emphasis on costs, yet WTE insights provide an equally powerful lens for understanding productivity trends across periods. Recognising this, the UK and Costing teams have collaborated to further strengthen how WTE information is presented within the platform.
This enhancement builds on the strong foundations already in place and provides a more intuitive and productivity focused way to work with existing outputs. The new activity analytics layout allows users to explore WTE information with greater clarity and ease, offering deeper insight without changing underlying data or requiring additional manual effort.
