What does LOGEX do in the field of Clinical Registry?
Mission of LOGEX: We turn data into better healthcare.
Together with our customers, we work on measuring and improving healthcare outcomes.
We facilitate large-scale clinical outcome measurement with our clinical registry platform. This platform enables our customers to structure their clinical registries, collect data from an unlimited number of healthcare providers, process and store this data safely.
After collection & storage, data can be analysed and translated into insights, visible to users in user-friendly dashboarding or made available for research.
We work on constant improvement of the platform, through various innovative projects that aim to lower the administrative burden while maximising clinical registry value through insights for our users.
In addition, we facilitate usage of the platform, for example through service desk support and contract management.
Finally, we focus on privacy & security as reliable data protection is pivotal given the large amounts of data we process.
In summary, with our platform and support, we aim to unburden our customers and their registry participants, while offering full flexibility to fit the needs of individual customers.
What does that look like?
Currently, our platform is being used to collect data on the outcomes of treatments for more than 35 disease areas. For example, we collect data on various types of cancer but also on the usage of antibiotics and on pediatric surgery. The customer defines which data should be collected within the clinical registry to be able to measure quality of care for a certain treatment. Based on these definitions, we facilitate the data collection for clinical registries from many hospitals from more than 20 countries.
Better healthcare is being realised when these big amounts of raw medical data are being translated into valuable insights; the collected data are for example being used for many scientific papers. Also, the data enables our customers to open conversations with healthcare providers on how to improve quality of care during interactive sessions. Our dashboards not only show the outcomes for individual providers, but as well benchmarks and differences between providers. These dashboards can also be used by healthcare providers individually.
Personal view – how is it for you to work in this field?
What I really enjoy in my job is that we are working together with our customers on the future of healthcare and are pioneers in the field of value-based healthcare. Data-driven insights are a pivotal part of future-proof healthcare system, and we are providing these insights already today on a large scale. Of course, this comes with many challenges, but we are showing what is possible. Developments such as the European Health Data Space are showing this is only the beginning, so I am looking forward to being part of the innovative journey in the upcoming years together with our customers.
