Before data can be used to generate insights, it passes through a number of carefully managed steps​

Extending the value of healthcare data​

Sometimes healthcare organisations, researchers and healthcare partners seek answers to questions that go beyond the scope of standard reporting and analytics.​

With the right governance in place, insights derived from many patient journeys, including journeys like Lee’s, can contribute to healthcare research, quality improvement initiatives and real-world evidence programmes. ​

LOGEX can support research with insights after explicit consent from participating hospitals. However, LOGEX does not make healthcare data available for commercial sale. Any broader use of data must align with our governance framework, customer agreements and a legitimate healthcare purpose.

Governance, privacy and security​

Healthcare data deserves careful handling.​

LOGEX applies technical, organisational and contractual safeguards designed to protect data throughout its lifecycle. Access is restricted to authorised individuals, data use is governed through formal policies and review processes, and information security controls are continuously monitored and maintained.​

Our approach is guided by applicable regulations, customer agreements and recognised information security and quality standards.​

Before supporting broader healthcare initiatives, we consider:​

  • Whether the work contributes to better healthcare, patient outcomes or healthcare knowledge.​

  • Whether it aligns with our governance framework, customer agreements and legal obligations.​

  • Whether the insight provides meaningful value and cannot be reasonably obtained in another way.​

  • Whether the data requested is proportionate to the purpose.​

  • Whether privacy and confidentiality can be appropriately protected.​ 

Data is used only where there is a defined purpose, appropriate governance and a clear benefit to healthcare​

Any broader use of data must align with our governance framework, respect customer agreements and contribute to a legitimate healthcare purpose​
