Looking Beyond a Single Season

RTIs often follow seasonal patterns, but their impact can vary significantly from year to year due to factors such as changes in population immunity, healthcare interventions, and circulating pathogens.

In addition, the consequences of RTIs are not always limited to the initial infection. Some patients experience complications after discharge, require additional healthcare services, or face longer-term health impacts that only become visible when outcomes are followed over time.

As shown in the data below, looking across multiple seasons can reveal patterns and trends that may not be visible in a single-year analysis.
